Real Madrid have announced the signing of Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea on a six-year deal after the player completed a medical.
Real have splashed £35million on the Belgium international – with Courtois running into the final year of his Blues contract.
Keeper Courtois, who has previously played for Atletico Madrid in La Liga, has moved back to the Spanish capital to live with his children.
Courtois played 154 times for Chelsea during a seven year stint at Stamford Bridge, winning the Premier League twice and the FA Cup last season.
Courtois said: “Thank you, today I fulfill a dream only those who know me know everything I have worked to get here.
“I want to thank Real Madrid for the effort, in all my career I have put the best in everyone I have been a rival and I know what it is to face Real Madrid.
“I want to be at the height of this shield, thanks to everyone again and especially to the mother of my children and that although we are not together you are very special to me, thanks and Hala Madrid!”
