The Mali international, under contract until 2020, helped Porto to the Portuguese title with 22 goals in 29 matches
Porto are insisting any deal for Moussa Marega is £36million in straight cash.
The Portuguese outfit are into the Champions League and are not strapped for money.
Mirror Football understands they will now only accept their asking price for striker Marega and they also want it in one go without any staged payments.
Marega has been linked with a move to the Premier League to West Ham and Everton.
The Mali international, under contract until 2020, helped Porto to the Portuguese title with 22 goals in 29 matches.
Marega, 27, said earlier this summer: “Who does not like the Premier League. It’s a very big league, with very big players.
“I think this is perhaps the best time to try my luck elsewhere, to live a new experience, to know a new championship, the Premier League, for example.”
