The Belgium international is widely considered to be the Blues’ best player, but he could be on the move
Eden Hazard has admitted he is ready to “discover new things”.
But the Chelsea forward insists that on the other hand he is still “very happy” playing for the Stamford Bridge club in the Premier League.
The Belgium international is widely considered to be the Blues’ best player, and has been on the radar of a number of huge clubs around Europe, including 12-time Champions League winners Real Madrid, for a while now.
Not only this but Hazard has continually hailed Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane as a hero of his, and a manager he would love to play under one day, adding fuel to the fire.
Addressing his future, what with the summer transfer window on the horizon, Hazard told HLN: “I’m open to discover new things, but on the other hand, I am very happy at Chelsea.
“It’s a double feeling. Whatever happens, I will be happy. We’ll see. There’s lots of speculation, but I want to know which top players the club is signing too.” Hazard has this week been calling on Chelsea to show ambition this summer and recruit well ahead of the new season.
The Blues are set to axe boss Antonio Conte after the FA Cup final, and the new manager will likely be handed funds to work with.
Hazard is apparently biding his time to see what direction a new boss intends to take the club before deciding on his own future.
“I’m waiting for new players next season,” the Belgian said. “I want good players because I want to win the Premier League next season.”
